Going green not only helps sustain the planet, it also creates new realms of possibility.

This was the message imparted by HP, the world’s largest technology company, during the unveiling of its newest portfolio of eco-friendly digital printing solutions at the facilities of 11 FTC Enterprises, Inc., one of the country’s leading print service providers.

Experts at the event showed an amazing range of printing possibilities with the use of HP’s new large format, commercial and industrial printers—from wall papers to billboard-quality signages to wall-sized photo prints.

HP Scitex FB7500 is a large-format digital printer with a UV flatbed printer designed for fast-paced, industrial printing environments mainly used for graphics, signage, backlit displays and posters. It can be used for indoor and outdoor applications and uses water-based HP Latex inks that produces odorless prints. The HP Scitex FB6100, on the other hand, can print on a variety of media including ceramic tiles, glass or acrylic boards, wooden doors and acoustic ceiling tiles.

The HP Designjet L25500 offers print service providers outstanding print durability and is an ideal solution for small-and-medium digital print and sign shops as well as copy shops and photo labs that aim to increase their competitive advantage.

The long-lasting, gallery-quality prints of the HP Designjet Z3200 are ideal for photographers, photo and fine art PSPs, graphic designers, ad agencies and commercial printers, while the HP Designjet Z6100’s combined speed, image quality and color consistency is capable of printing photo and fine art pieces, exhibition graphics, point-of-purchase displays, maps, presentations and short-term outdoor signages as well.

Why go green?
According to Shaun See, HP’s business development manager for Southeast Asia, market trends have been changing, from commercial to more eco-friendly printing systems. With this in mind, the company was able to push for more environmentally-sound digital print options and move away from solvent inks to low-solvent ink technology with the use of their latest and greenest ink innovation: the HP Latex Inks.
From printer to portfolio, the new HP printers and the HP Latex Inks have expanded penetration with unmatched application versatility, allowing users to flex their creativity through various media—from wallpapers and décor to textile printing.

HP’s Latex Inks are water-based and odorless. Using low-solvent ink technology, it is safer and more eco-friendly because solvents, or VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) have high toxicity effects that can be dangerous to our health as well as the environment. Using latex inks lessens ozone emissions during printing for these do not contain harmful air pollutants.

One solution for all
Moreover, this new Latex Ink technology is a solution that crosses all media platforms as HP provides supreme printing solutions that can now be used conveniently by architects for restaurants, hospitals, houses, etc.—with reduced cost in energy, disposable cost and waste cost. Because of its fast print speeds, various applications successfully meet the fast turnaround requirements of clients. There is no need to wait it out and lose profit or the best of our health, giving printing service providers (PSPs) the chance for revenue stream growth. With this technology, HP is able to meet the demands of distinguished brand owners with firm convictions on sustainable printing like Nike and Sony.

11 FTC Enterprises, a leading total solutions provider believes HP has greatly helped enhance their competitive edge against industry rivals.

“With huge investments in HP large-format printers, we are able to offer superior time to market, green initiatives, and mass customization at a very competitive price,” says John Gilbert Madarang, general manager of 11 FTC Enterprises.

HP has always been about promoting a sense of responsibility to society, the environment, and to future Filipinos—and the advent of their latest innovations have been able to promote this, as they lead the way towards sustainable printing solutions.

The productivity and eco-saving advantages of HP Designjet and Scitex Printers will definitely yield a progressive and profitable printing experience.
